I doubt I'll get it until I have a new machine put together. Not sure this rig will handle it. :(

Update:

There's going to be a demo at least. 8)

XFire is supposed to have it via their built-in DL thingy, we'll see how that goes when it hits.

Did any of you catch how EA blacklisted any of the demo servers that modifed the config files (literally commented out a single line) and changed them from the ridiculous 12 minute time limit to no time limit?

EA's official position on modified servers?
EA Offical Statement on Server De-listing Update

They pretend to support the modding community, and the minute that that community steps up, they slam them and scream "hacker!". The server admins did the one thing that actual made the demo interesting enough to play. Squads were useless for a 12 minute game and the commander couldn't even get organized in that time, the two big changes to the game. The one line adjustment to the game config files and they screamed bloody murder. EA is doing their damnedest to crush the independent server operator (and force people to play on their overpriced, underperforming, locked down rented servers).

And I'm not even going to start ranting about the travesty of what EA, through their puppet company DICE, did to Trama Studios (the makers of DC) - to the point: they bought them cheap for the IP to the DC title and then chopped them apart. You couldn't find a better example of "big corporations squashing the little guy and stealing his work" if you tried.

With this travesty EA has outdone even their most evil deeds to the gaming industry.

For the love of the future of the gaming industry, do not give these bastards you money.

Our clan's server was one of the was that was effected. How much fun or strategy can you have in 12 minutes? Please.

They offer the tool to mod the game, then we we mod someting so simple such as the round time limit, they get all queer about it.
