yes, it does suck. no, it would not have been ironic if he got killed by a croc; it was ironic that he got killed by a stingray, of all creatures.

Yeah, a stingray? WTF? That was pretty shocking. Typically the worse that happens from one of them lashing out at you is just a nasty rash. Deaths from them are on the order of miniscule to non-existant. More people are killed by crocs, aligators, sharks, or snakes in a year than have ever been known to have died from stingrays.
My money was always on "something huge that would gore him so bad his tagalong medical team wouldn't have a chance of saving him". Something like a croc or shark ripping him in half, something like that. Even the venomous stuff they typically had various medications to at least slow/soften the effects in case he ever did get bit/stung.
But no, instead he gets a spike to his heart. Damn, that shit is wack!
