I give up on computers

Postby Yari on Thu Nov 09, 2006 2:15 pm

My computer with everything I ever had just went up. I was doing windows update and after I reboot, no dice. It gets to "verifying dmi pool....." then nothing. I tried using windows repair but it says it can't find an active partition. I tried using some partition table repair tool, but I think, all it did was delete all of my data. I'm trying not to think about all the stuff I just lost. I definitly won't be playing any games in a long looong time. I might switch to a mac in like 5 years. I'm definitly never building my own computer again.

Just a buy a Dell. The shit just works, and you never have to fudge with it.

This was my main rig, not the shuttle, a tower setup I built. The drive seems to be good, I ran all kinds of diagnostics, no bad sectors. I used something called Stellar Phoenix and was able to back up all my data. I still don't know what the hell happened.
