Antivirus 2009 virus

Postby Yari on Sun Aug 17, 2008 1:17 pm

This baby came out last weekend, anybody had problems with it? Had to remove it from my family computer and it was bitch too. Only one program I found could totally destroy it. (hint: it wasnt norton) It's your basic rogue antivirus, it downloaded a TON of adware for me. I still could not get it to stop browser redirecting though, I ended up reinstalling my browser, and now it's good.

Not that I'm aware of, but here at work there's some crapware masquerading as a UPS Tracking attachment that has duped a few of our more gullible sales people & office workers into saving & opening it.

Funny, *someone* just popped an adware trojan onto my home pc. It wasn't a total pain in the ass to get rid of, but still sucked.
