Fucking Wrigley

Postby Yari on Sun Oct 19, 2008 12:16 pm

I don't know if anyone here invests, but one of my favs just decided to sell themselves out. Wrigley sold out to Mars, for $80 cash, way less then it's worth. And now I have cash instead of stock.

I buy quiet companies that make money, not news. This buyout smells like a scam to me. Wrigley was showing record growth internationally.

I love this company, I was up over 200%, I won't be chewing their gum for a while now.

We are in an age of consididation. MANY companies will merge or fail. Some will be able to carry on alone, some will panic sell. It's a funky market for many things now dude. I have personally watched the price of scrap metals skyrocket, and within the last couple of weeks fall like a fucking BRICK. Thankfully I was not sitting on alot of it when it tanked. Take a look at the last 6 months for scrap steel for example. Talk about a fire sale.

hey man on an up note low stock prices for some reason are lowering the price of oil.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability. Image Image

Oil was severly inflated due to all the roaches swapping it around instead of real estate after that market took a dump. Now they are getting into currency trading. Great.

I like the merger with mars, but this deal was sweethearted. The shareholders of Wrigley get dick shit, the board sold us out.
