Windows Sharing

Postby Yari on Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:02 pm

Hey, I'm having a problem trying to share a users files on my network, in win 7. I want to share the Public Folder. C:\users\public, I click on properties, then share, but when I hit finish it wants to share the entire users folder. C:\users. Which makes my other user folders shared eg. C:\users\yari C:\users\family, which I don't want. If a try to share a folder in Public like C:\users\public\documents, it says "Your folder cannot be shared".

Windows Sharing blows shaved goats. I never had any success doing it natively within the system. Is there an easier way via some 3rd party solution?

I agree, Windows natively sucks. There's plenty of other ways to do it but it should be something easy to do natively. I'm using an external drive which doesn't complain about being shared.
