quick car question

hey my car has recently been hesitating whenn i accelerate and on the occation stalles when i put it into nutral ive changed the spark pluggs and the ht leads and put injector cleaner in the damn thing a few times. ive hrd that it could be anything from my clutch to my transmitition ect so any one know anything it could be

its a 90 vw jetta 1.6L , 4cil, fuel injected

When you say leads I assume you mean spark plug wires? Also, did you replace the distributor cap & rotor while you were at it? That is a common fault for misfiring conditions.

Also, your "my clutch to my transmitition" has nothing to do with the ignition system. :P

yea on the wires and iguess ill try and change out the cap and rotor this weekend

After you check the cap + rotor might want to check the Air and Fuel filter if it is external from the TANK the Air filter can cause that problem if it is clogged up hold the air filter up to the SUN if you can see light it is ok if not then replace it.

I had a 92 caviler that had the same problem found it was the timing belt had slipped and was causing poor acceleration and sputters.
