I have finished the build of the new Intel Core2 QUAD Q6600.
I burned in the system with CPU BURN and had some serous problems with the stock cooler and heat. First let me say i hate the way Intel designed the new hold down clamps for the heatsink they just..suck!
I was getting some real bad temps on the stock cooler that came with the CPU. I checked and reseated the HS 4 times same results and yes the fan was running and it was fully seated with Arctic silver 5, I changed out the heat sink with a Termaltake Big Typhoon the results are much better and I have to say it is the best AIR cooler I've ever owned. I loaded the CPU using the BIONIC Distributed computing program running Rosetta protein program.

Overall now that i got the temperature issue resolved I am very impressed with the Q6600 it is FASSSTTT games seem to run smoother with it. I can also run 4 things at once burn a DVD while running a game server and playing that game.
One piece of advice if you go to get a Q6600 make sure you get the Revision G0 not the B3. G0 Rev has a better thermal output number and is just the second revision of the Q6600.
